Tarcísio asks the government base for readjustment for police officers – 04/11/2023 – Panel

The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), gathered ten leaders of parties that form the base of government in Alesp (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo) for a lunch in the residential wing of the Palácio dos Bandeirantes this Tuesday (11) .

The meeting with the deputies was not listed on the governor’s official agenda.

At lunch, Tarcísio wished good luck to the parliamentarians’ work, which began on March 15, and presented the Executive’s priorities for this year. The first is the salary adjustment for civil and military police.

The proposal should be sent to Alesp next week. Tarcísio commented that the SSP (Secretary of Public Security) is finalizing the readjustment studies. The idea is to grant the increase in a staggered way and according to the function in the corporation, without defining a percentage for all careers.

The governor made clear his intention to increase civil service throughout his term.

Other topics debated are part of the project package of concessions to private companies for the renovation of schools, the desilting of the Tietê river and the train to connect the capital to cities such as Campinas, Sorocaba, São José dos Campos and Santos.
