Tambaba nudist resort, in Paraíba: how it will be – 05/04/2023 – Tourism

One of the most famous nudist beaches in Brazil, Tambaba, in Paraíba, should get a large resort dedicated to the naturist public. With 284 rooms that will receive up to 750 guests simultaneously, the Villamor Tambaba Resort will be built just a hundred meters from the beach and should be opened by 2027.

Conceived by the partners of a homonymous inn that has existed for ten years in the region, the new venture will have all the standard infrastructure of a resort (such as swimming pools, restaurants and spa), but also with new features that, according to the partners, will place it in the international circuit of nudist resorts.

In the project’s 3D images, for example, attention is drawn to the carcass of a commercial aircraft (which could be a Boeing 727 or 737, depending on availability) that will host a mini ballad for up to one hundred people and the “garden of eden”, a Pool area covered by a glass box, with heated water and wet bar. The space should host night parties for up to 300 guests. A cine-theater and a nightclub will also be available to guests.

“Currently, our inn has 100% occupancy on all weekends of the year, including New Year’s Eve and until Carnival 2024. Faced with this scenario, with a growing market niche, we decided to build the resort, this time next to the naturist beach”, says Márcio Pimenta, partner at Pousada Villamor and one of the project’s creators.

In the pool and in other shared areas, such as the cinema-theatre, nudity will be mandatory, but only suggested in other common areas. The use of clothing will be mandatory only in the restaurant.

According to Pimenta, the operation of the resort should generate 350 direct jobs and strongly move the local economy, since there will not be the famous “all-inclusive” system, common in many resorts.

“All 750 guests will circulate daily along the beaches and around the municipality, consuming in bars, restaurants, markets and shops, generating more jobs, more tax collection and possibly new ventures”, promises the businessman.

The resort will be built in partnership with a construction company, MM Incorporação Imobiliária, under the multi-ownership model —when different people or companies buy shares of a development and share the property. According to Pimenta, many of the more than 10,000 customers at his inn have already shown interest in contributing to the new business, which will require an investment of R$ 150 million.

Pimenta says that there is an intention to build a cable car connecting the resort, which will be at the top of the hill, to Tambaba beach, at sea level. The plan, however, depends on the authorization of Sudema, the Superintendence of Environmental Administration of the State of Paraíba. The agency has already issued an environmental license for the enterprise, authorizing the removal of 51 hectares of vegetation for construction.

When ready, the Villamor Tambaba Resort should occupy an area of ​​12,800 square meters. The works will start later this month, as soon as the City Hall of Conde releases the construction license, which should last four years. Opening is scheduled for 2027.
