Table tennis players from Amapá will compete in the national championship in São Paulo – News of Brazil

Between December 9th and 17th, the Amapá delegation will be participating in the TMB Platinum Brasileiro Interclubes Olímpico e Paralímpico – Cycle III – 2023, in São Paulo. The event will count points towards this year’s national ranking.
The State Department of Sports and Leisure (Sedel) made it possible for around 30 athletes to go to the competition. According to the manager, Rudney Cunha, the government always seeks to prioritize investments in sport.
“Governor Clécio has always been very accessible to sport and demands that we give more visibility and attention to high-performance sport in Amapá. You are making history in Amapá, taking table tennis further and further, bringing medals and taking our state to the top”he said.
One of the athletes who will be participating in the competition is Arthur Almeida. He talks about expectations for the event. “I would like to thank Secretary Rudney for helping us with the tickets. It will be a very good experience for us athletes, as it will be the last championship of the year, the most important”concluded.
The athletes from Amapá will compete in the Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-19, Under-21, Senior, Absolute C, D and E categories, in the male and female suits.
