Tabata insinuates Boulos’ ‘naughtiness’ and ally counters – 03/05/2024 – Panel

Pre-candidate for Mayor of São Paulo Tabata Amaral (PSB) accused Guilherme Boulos’ (PSOL) campaign of distorting a voting intention survey to harm her. She insinuated that her opponent was “naughty”.
The reason for the irritation was the fact that the psolist had released a scenario from the Real Time Big Data research in which Tabata does not appear.
“In none of the readings, no matter how much I try, I can understand where Boulos got this graph he posted from. This scenario doesn’t exist, he simply removed my name and added a reality that doesn’t even make sense,” he said the deputy, in a video posted on Instagram.
Then, she lists a series of hypotheses for what happened. “Now I ask you: what is this? Is it creative statistics? Is it an error? Did someone have no idea what they were doing? Or is it just naughty?”, she stated.
The accusation generated a response from Juliano Medeiros, former president of PSOL and member of Boulos’ campaign coordination.
“I just saw a video of the PSB candidate for Mayor of São Paulo questioning Boulos about a survey carried out in the capital (research that was not carried out by PSOL). And the video ends by accusing our companion of “naughtiness”. But she wasn’t the one who promised a high-level campaign?” he wrote on X.
He completes by pointing out Tabata’s recent meeting with Tucano deputy Aécio Neves (MG), revealed by the Panel.
“Maybe after the meeting with Aécio Neves she learned some things, unfortunately,” he said.
The debate shows that the two left-wing candidates, who support the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) government, must not respect any non-aggression pact during the campaign.
Boulos has been leading the polls, alongside Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB), with Tabata in third place.
