STJD punishes Vasco with four games behind closed doors – News of Brazil

Decision was motivated by confusion after defeat in São Januário
The Full Court of the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD) punished, this Thursday (6), Vasco with the loss of four field goals and behind closed doors (one of them already fulfilled, in the 1-0 victory over Cuiabá) because of the acts of violence carried out by the Cruzmaltina fans in the game against Goiás at the São Januário stadium on June 22.
After a 1-0 loss to Esmeraldino, Vasco fans threw flares on the lawn and bombs exploded in the stands. In addition, the players had to leave the field protected by the Military Police.
The press office of the STJD informed that the referee Jean Pierre Gonçalves Lima reported that the arbitration car was damaged with stones, being dented, scratched and broken.
The decision of the full STJD, which also punished Cruzmaltino with a fine of R$ 60 thousand, followed the punishment stipulated, last Wednesday (5), by the 3rd Disciplinary Commission of the court.
