Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), this Monday (13) granted provisional release to over 130 prisoners for alleged involvement in the acts of January 8, which culminated in the invasion and depredation of the headquarters of the Three Powers, in Brasilia.

According to the minister, the detainees have already been denounced and no longer represent a procedural or society risk at this time, being able to respond to the process in freedom.

They are men who were detained at the Papuda Penitentiary Complex and who are now being monitored by an electronic anklet and must comply with precautionary measures, including going home at night and on weekends, going to the county of origin every Monday fairs and deliver the passport to the court.

On the other hand, of the 1,400 arrested for alleged involvement in the acts of January 8, 310 men and 82 women are still being held, totaling 392 people. The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) has already denounced 919 people for public incitement to crime and criminal association. Of these, 219 will also respond for more serious crimes – qualified damage, violent abolition of the rule of law and coup d’état.
