The ministers of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) made defendants over 70 denounced by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) for participating in the acts of January 8, in Brasilia, in the virtual plenary concluded on Friday night (9).

There were 7 votes in favor of ministers Alexandre de Moraes, who is also the rapporteur, Rosa Weber, Luiz Fux, Edson Fachin, Dias Toffoli, Gilmar Mendes and Luís Roberto Barroso. As in the previous six blocks of defendants, only Nunes Marques and André Mendonça disagreed with the magistrates and voted against.

In this group of denounced, the ministers analyzed those involved in the investigations that investigate the alleged instigators of the acts, who were camped in front of the Army Headquarters, and the executors, arrested during the invasion of the headquarters of the Three Powers.

As a result, the STF has so far made 1,246 defendants guilty of involvement in the acts. There are still 145 complaints to be analyzed by the magistrates, in a new trial in the virtual plenary to be scheduled for the coming weeks.
