State Government releases around R$450,000 in financing for small entrepreneurs in Amapá – News of Brazil

Aiming to boost the local economy, the Government of Amapá carried out this Friday, the 15th, the transfer of approximately R$ 450 thousand in financing to merchant and mini box entrepreneurs, who joined Credbox, a credit line managed by the Development Agency of Amapá (Afap), in the amount of R$5 million, acquired through an amendment by the senator Randolfe Rodrigues.
The release of resources for the first 20 beneficiaries took place in a ceremony at the Palácio do Setentrião. A grocery store owner in the Pantanal neighborhood, in the North Zone of Macapá, Liliane das Virgens received R$40,000 from the credit line. The entrepreneur highlighted that the resource arrived at a good time to boost sales.
Credbox is part of the public economic development policy, launched by the Government of Amapá in November, for investments that allow the expansion of small businesses throughout the state. The governor, Clécio Luís, reinforced the importance of strengthening small and medium-sized establishments to generate employment and income.
“Each mini box generates two, three, four, five, ten jobs. And there is a relationship, closeness with the buyer who goes to the place, there is a welcome, a relationship. It’s a mini box, it’s the grocery store, which often saves, in that moment of trouble, due to the trust that is established. What we are doing now is improving this relationship, with a financial institution that is the Amapá Development Agency”emphasized the governor.
With the aim of boosting trade this year-end period, Afap worked intensively to speed up requests, to ensure that beneficiaries take advantage of the year-end period to increase sales. Through the line of credit, small business entrepreneurs can access up to R$50,000 to invest in the modernization and restructuring of their establishments.
“It is small and medium-sized entrepreneurs who dynamize, promote and strengthen the economy of Amapá. These workers are still recovering from the consequences of the pandemic. During the blackout, they lost many products, which caused several financial problems. CredBox offers financing with special conditions for these merchants”, said the senator Randolfe Rodrigues.
Strengthening of the local economy
Since it was launched in November, more than 400 entrepreneurs have approached the Amapá Development Agency to access financing. The objective of Afap, responsible for analyzing and releasing resources, is to guarantee a positive impact on local communities, generating economic and social development.
