Action was carried out by the ‘Participatory Assembly’ program, which benefited 10 social institutions

Manaus (AM) – The president of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam), state deputy Roberto Cidade (UB), coordinated, this Friday (15), the delivery of a thousand basic food baskets, divided between 10 social institutions. The action was carried out by the Participatory Assembly program, the House’s main social initiative, and was made visible by employees of the State Legislature.

Over the course of next week, 13 more institutions will benefit from the delivery of basic food baskets, totaling 23 institutions and four thousand baskets delivered.

“Another year that this beautiful project helps to minimize the suffering of families in Manaus and the interior of Amazonas, through the union of the servants of this House. I am happy to be president at a time when the Assembly is demonstrating its greatness, support and encouragement for needy families in our State. I thank and congratulate all the employees involved, all the directors, who made the Participatory Assembly possible”,

thanked.

The basic food baskets donated by Aleam employees, through the Participatory Assembly, will be destined for socially vulnerable families. According to the general coordinator of Instituto Restaurar, Lilian Vasconcelos, the baskets arrive at a time when the organization is preparing to hold the fifth edition of the Institute’s Christmas celebration.

“These basic food baskets will make a total difference in the lives of the socially and economically vulnerable families that we serve at the institute. Our institution carries out actions with vulnerable families, adults and children in the Campos Salles and Cidade Nova neighborhoods. These baskets will be destined for families in extreme poverty and, on their behalf, we thank you for this gesture of solidarity. May this gesture inspire other people and may we be more supportive”,

he spoke.

In addition to delivering basic food baskets to social institutions, the Participatory Assembly benefited six employees, active and inactive, with donations of geriatric diapers. According to the deputy director general of the Legislative Assembly and coordinator of the Participatory Assembly program, Igor Pantoja, over three years, more than 40 institutions and 30 employees were assisted with funeral assistance, surgical procedures and other philanthropic actions.

“This is a beautiful work of social responsibility developed by the Legislative Assembly, through its employees. In the three years of the program, dozens of philanthropic actions were carried out and this was only possible because the servers voluntarily donate an amount and the program, in a responsible and transparent way, reverts to actions like today’s and to other aid to the servers. We can only thank the state legislative staff for making this program possible,”

said Pantoja.

In addition to the deputy president, the ceremony was attended by deputies Carlinhos Bessa (PV), Sinésio Campos (PT), João Luiz (Republicans) and Mário César Filho (União Brasil).
