State government opens commemorative program for the 80th anniversary of Amapá – News of Brazil

In a beautiful and crowded ceremony at the Palácio do Setentrião, on the morning of this Friday, the 2nd, the state government opened the commemorative program for the 80th anniversary of the creation of Amapá, through a presidential decree, dismembering it from Pará, on September 13th. of 1943, and officially naming it the Federal Territory of Amapá.
The opening of the Amapá anniversary program consisted of a sumptuous breakfast and the launch of the Correios Postal Stamp, with Amapá as the theme. Governor Clécio Luís hosted the event which, among others, was attended by Senator Randolfe Rodrigues; state secretary of culture, Clícia de Miceli; and the president of the Post Office, Fabiano Silva dos Santos.
The creation of the Seal was by the plastic artist from Amapá based in Brasília, Ralfe Braga, at the invitation of Senator Randolfe Rodrigues, who at the ceremony said that the symbol issued by the Post Office is a gift for Amapá, as it is a landmark. The name of Ralfe Braga is recognized and revered throughout the world.
Governor Clécio Luís noted that when it comes to commemorative dates for Amapá, there are at least three: September 13, creation of the federal territory; February 4th, anniversary of the capital, Macapá; and October 5, the day on which, in 1988, the state of Amapá was established in the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil in force today.
Clécio pointed out that products will be launched, such as the virtual time capsule, which can glimpse Amapá when it completes its hundred years of existence, in 2043. and the future of the state with the purpose of raising everyone’s feeling of amapality.
The festivities for the 80th anniversary of Amapa’s history will continue until September 2024. Senator Randolfe informed, giving spoilers, that the program will include, in the numerous events to take place, presentations by national singers in partnership with local singers, singing Amapá, re-oxygenation of the Fortress of São José de Macapá and appreciation of literature as a means of reflection during the period.
The president of Correios, Fabiano Silva dos Santos, thanked Senator Randolfe for the opportunity to come to Amapá for the first time, to be part of the opening of the program for the 80th anniversary, and noted that on January 25, Correios completed 360 years of activities in the country.
Fabiano taught that stamps are national archives of important events of the people, although today they have lost their usefulness as stamps. “The value of the stamp, nowadays, is more symbolic, it is a connection, a historical record. A work of art that can be in people’s homes, offices, schools and many other places”, concluded the president of the Post Office.
