The first Sunday of the Santana Verão program was quite busy, mainly with the realization of various sports activities that were held in the resorts of Recanto da Aldeia, in Abel, in Elesbão and in Ilha de Santana. The schedule coordinated by the Extraordinary Secretariat for Sports and Leisure (Sandel) is part of the set of activities for Santana Verão 2023, which includes other artistic and cultural programs.
According to Sandel’s sports coordinator, Rodolfo Marinho, the program met the organization’s expectations with the large participation of the public who attended the competition venues to honor the events. “All competitions were successful and reached our expectations”highlighted.
The coordinator also considered positive the presence of the public that attended the venues, prestige sporting events and cultural programming. “This success is a reflection of the joint work developed by the Bala Rocha management, with the aim of bringing entertainment, leisure and sports activities to the people of Santa Catarina during the month of July”, added.
This Sunday’s competitions
This first Sunday took place on Ilha de Santana, the qualifying phase of men’s field football with the participation of 8 teams. The finalists were the teams from Santos and Borussia Dortmund who will make the grand final on the 30th.
At Elesbão, the qualifying and final stages of the men’s futlama competitions were held, with the participation of 12 teams and the women’s one with 6 teams. In Abel’s locker room, volleyball and dodgeball competitions were held. In the corner of the village, the elimination stages of beach soccer, volleyball and penalty kicks.
Upcoming activities
The sports program for Santana Verão will continue next Sunday (16) with sports activities on Ilha de Santana, where the elimination phase of women’s soccer takes place. It will also be the turn of Praia do Vermelho, on the Vila Nova river, to receive Sandel’s sports program, with men’s and women’s futlama activities, penalty kicks for men and women.
On the 23rd, at Recanto da Aldeia, the volleyball, beach soccer and penalty kick finals will take place.
The program ends on the 30th with the men’s and women’s soccer finals on Ilha de Santana and at Praia do Vermelho, on the Vila Nova River, with futlama competitions and penalty kicks.
