The death and dismemberment of soccer player Hugo Vinícius Skulny Pedrosa, 19, was premeditated, according to the Civil Police of Mato Grosso do Sul.

His ex-girlfriend, Rubia Joice de Oliver Luvisetto, 21, is identified as co-author of the crime, along with Danilo Alves Vieira da Silva, 19, who is still on the run. Pedrosa was buried this Friday (7).

The boy had disappeared in the early hours of June 25. The investigation found that he was shot dead, had his body dismembered and thrown into the Iguatemi River, in Sete Quedas (MS). He was buried yesterday after a procession through the city.

Lawyer Felipe Azuma, who defends his ex-girlfriend, said that it will be proved, in the course of the process, that the client had no part in the homicide.

This Friday (7), in an interview, delegate Marcos Werneck, from the Police Station for the Repression of Border Crimes, without giving details, said that there are elements that prove that it is a premeditated crime.

“We identified the qualification of the resource that made it difficult, made it impossible for the victim to defend himself and we identified Rubia’s participation as a co-author of the crime committed”, said Werneck.

In the speech, the delegate referred to article 121 of the Penal Code, on the qualifier of homicide, “by means of betrayal, ambush, dissimulation or other resource that makes it difficult or impossible for the victim to defend himself”.

So far, 17 people have been interrogated and six search and seizure warrants, referring to cell phones and sharp instruments, have been fulfilled.

According to the police, the inquiry is ongoing and is secret. The delegate says that there is already a “secure overview of the dynamics of the crime”, with the identification of others involved in related crimes, citing the concealment of a corpse and procedural fraud.

Luvisetto was arrested on June 3, having been preliminarily indicted for concealing a corpse. The police are looking for Silva, who fired the shots, who is still at large.

The report found that the National Police of Paraguay is assisting in the search for the boy. Sete Quedas is located in the border region, a few minutes from Corpus Christi, on the Paraguayan side, with easy access.

Regarding the other person involved in the crime, Cleber Torres Vobeto, known as Maninho, Werneck said that he is a “key piece” in the investigation, having pointed out where the body was thrown.

The boy was not arrested and participated in the reenactment of the crime, which took place yesterday, throughout the day. The delegate did not explain why he was released.

Pedrosa’s body was released for burial on Friday. The family prepared a procession and waited at the entrance to the city for the hearse, which left Ponta Porã.

On the way, several people applauded, paying tribute to the athlete. He was buried in the municipal cemetery of Sete Quedas.

The crime took place in the early hours of June 25, after Pedrosa left a party in the Paraguayan city of Pindoty Porá. Luviseto says he didn’t talk to him and left the party with Silva and Vobeto, who were going to sleep at his house.

In the statement, Luviseto says she was taken by surprise by the player, who entered her house and called her a slut, because she was with Silva in the room, sleeping. The student says that she pushed the athlete out of the house, but that the other boy shot the athlete.

The noises woke up Vobeto, who was sleeping in another room in the house. The two say they were threatened by Silva to collaborate in the disappearance of the body.

Luviseto cleaned the traces of blood from the door, while the other loaded the player into the cart by car and went to Silva’s farm, on the border with Tacuru (MS).

At the site, Silva allegedly removed the body from the body of the vehicle, fired two more shots at the athlete and threw him into the Iguatemi River. Police did not explain when the dismemberment would have taken place.
