Manaus (AM) – The singer, songwriter, dancer and businesswoman Joelma da Silva Mendes, better known as Joelma, received, this Monday (22), at the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam), the Title of Citizen of Amazonense. The Session was presided over by state deputy Joana Darc (UB), with the title proposed by former deputy Therezinha Ruiz (PL) and was attended by many fans of the singer in the Assembly.

During the ceremony, Joana Darc highlighted Joelma’s accomplishments for Amazonas, highlighting her help during the Covid-19 pandemic, not only for our state, but throughout Brazil, through her social networks and shows on virtual video platforms. , whose amounts were donated to institutions.

The parliamentarian also highlighted the importance of the values ​​of the culture of the North of the country, taken by Joelma throughout Brazil.

“Our country has an infinity of artists who have brightened our culture and our values, mainly from the North of Brazil. “I was from Amazonas at heart, now I’m from the title. I love this place, I love these people. Every time I walk this earth, I am renewed, I am blessed and loved and I feel it. It’s just gratitude in my heart for these people, for this place that is a piece of heaven and that has value. It’s the northern culture that fills me with strength, where I don’t have it, to continue until today”, said the singer.
