Eduardo Bolsonaro is uncomfortable in the stadium; see video – 05/22/2023 – Panel

Federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) was bothered by the reaction of part of the audience who attended a ceremony for the delivery of property titles at the Corinthians stadium, this Sunday morning (21).

Around 11,000 people went to the Neo Química Arena, in the Itaquera neighborhood, in a ceremony attended by several authorities, such as Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) and the mayor of the capital, Ricardo Nunes (MDB).

Called to speak, Eduardo heard a mixture of boos and applause coming from the stadium’s stands. At the beginning, he tried to keep a good mood: “My father, who is from Palmeiras, calm down”, he said.

Then, more impatiently, he told the audience that this was a day of celebration. “Calm down! Calm down. It’s joy. […] You’re going to get stressed, calm down.”

Eduardo even tried to claim part of the credit for the event to his father, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), for having granted land regularization titles during his term. This, according to the congressman, “practically put an end to land invasions”

After having his speech interrupted to communicate that an elderly woman seemed to be feeling unwell, he was asked by a person from the audience to stop the speech.

“Perfect, we are already finishing. But in my ten seconds you want to say that?”, he reacted.

He then abruptly ended his speech, not before repeating the Bolsonaro clan’s slogan “God, homeland, family and freedom”. The deputy ended up giving the fastest speech of the event, of just over 2 minutes.
