Serra Gaúcha is the most recommended destination for Brazilians to drink wine on vacation

Rio Grande do Sul is the main destination for Brazilians on trips where a glass of wine cannot be missing from the itinerary. A survey carried out by Booking, a platform for booking accommodation, shows that the cities of Serra Gaúcha are the most recommended when looking for a place to relax and have a good wine on vacation. In the top 10 list made by Booking, the South region stands out in the preference of travelers, followed by the Southeast region and with a Northeastern representative in the ranking.

Bento Gonçalves, known as the national capital of wine, tops the list of preferences of Brazilian travelers. With several attractions focused on wine tourism and rural tourism, itineraries in the city include visits to the wineries of Vale dos Vinhedos, which include small and large properties.

In second place in the survey comes Gramado, which has a Wine Route so that travelers can get to know the wineries in the rural area, understand the production process and taste the labels that are produced locally.

Caxias do Sul, home of the Festa da Uva, comes in sixth place. In the city, it is possible to visit small and family wineries, which offer experiences related to grape growing, such as participating in the fruit harvest and understanding the process of making wines and juices.

And, closing the participation of Rio Grande do Sul in the ranking, in 8th position, Canela comes to the fore. In the wineries of the municipality, visitors can try the drink and juices, have a picnic with sparkling wine and visit the vineyards.

In addition, all cities offer abundant typical cuisine and are known for their natural beauties, theme parks and various leisure options.

Gramado holds Harvest from February 9

Last year, Gramado City Hall launched Vindima, an event that brings together the best wines and juices produced by wineries in the interior of the municipality. During the Harvest, which this year takes place from February 9th to March 5th, it is possible to visit rural properties and do sensory tasting, in addition to participating in the harvesting and treading of the grapes.

The Harvest takes place in Vila do Vinho, a spatial space set up next to Praça das Etnias.
