Amazonians were able to negotiate their debts in person in the Serasa truck

Manaus (AM) — The population of Manaus attended the first two days of the Serasa na Estrada project, which parked in Manaus on Tuesday (20). In total, 1,181 Amazonians managed to negotiate their debts in person in the truck, which is installed until Saturday (24), in Praça da Matriz (Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, Centro neighborhood). The agreements reached resulted in more than R$3.1 million in discounts granted.

This is the case of Rita dos Santos Rodrigues, who obtained a 99% discount on a debt worth more than R$11,000, which she had for 10 years and which with negotiation increased to R$35.98. “I was very happy. Now, it’s time to get on with life with one less headache,” she emphasizes.

Until Friday (23), service at the truck takes place from 9am to 6pm, and on Saturday (24), from 9am to 1pm. Serasa na Estrada has already visited 19 Brazilian cities, providing a series of free services to the population, such as checking credit scores, negotiating debts and applying for loans and credit cards.

Serasa’s Financial Education specialist, Clara Aguiar, highlights that demand on the first day was very positive, which demonstrates the interest of the population of Amazonas in resolving their financial life and thus becoming better organized.

She highlights that people who cannot go to the location where the truck is parked for in-person service can access the website www.serasa.com.br or download the app. “All services and offers offered in person are also available on Serasa’s digital channels,” she said.

Scenario

Amazonas has 1,527,467 people in default, which corresponds to 51.41% of the population. The capital concentrates a large part. There are 1,080,222 people in this situation, whose debts total more than R$5.6 billion. On average, each debtor in the capital has R$5,228.00 in debt.

The majority of debts in Amazonas are concentrated in three sectors: Retail (27.71%), Banks and Cards (24.96%), and Utilities, basic water, electricity and gas bills (16.29%).
