Senators want to represent against minister in the CNJ – 12/10/2023 – Panel
[ad_1]
Senators who are part of the House’s CCJ (Constitution and Justice Committee) are collecting signatures to file a representation against Minister Daniela Teixeira, of the STJ (Superior Court of Justice), with the internal affairs department of the CNJ (National Council of Justice).
Parliamentarians were angered by the minister’s interview with Veja magazine, in which she said she had experienced a “horror show” during her hearing in the Senate, due to structural machismo. The senators’ intention is for Teixeira to prove the statement, under penalty of being punished by the body.
An indication that the minister was not fair are videos of the final part of the hearing, in which she thanks the senators for having received her “with such cordiality” throughout her confirmation process.
Within the CNJ, representation would have elements to prosper, according to council interlocutors.
The senators’ dissatisfaction with Daniela Teixeira’s behavior has been going on since before the hearing – they considered that the minister was very critical of some parliamentarians.
