For senator Davi Alcolumbre, no country is as willing and prepared to combine material advances and environmental preservation as Brazil. He made the observation after participating, last Thursday and Friday, in London, in the Lide Brazil Conference, an event that brings together authorities and specialists from inside and outside the country to discuss the productive sector and other economic and social issues in the country.
Davi went to London as president of the Senate Constitution and Justice Commission, accompanied by the president of the National Congress, Rodrigo Pacheco, governors, ambassadors and other political leaders. The Lide Brazil Conference is promoted by the former governor of São Paulo, João Dória.
The senator, after the event, posted that among other topics, the strengthening of the productive sector was addressed to boost Brazil’s development in a sustainable and balanced way.
“We can continue to be a reference in the field of commodities without retreating from any of the commitments related to the protection of our biodiversity. No country is as willing and prepared to combine material advances and environmental preservation as Brazil,” posted Davi Alcolumbre.
Finally, the parliamentarian said that he sees the Lide Brazil Conference as part of a frank and permanent discussion process with British and European partners, who will be able to resolve any and all doubts they may have about the Brazilian scenario and the economic, social and environmental purposes of the country.
