The Federal Government made the official announcement of R$ 2.44 billion in budget recomposition for investments in Universities and Federal Institutes across the country, the Leader of Congress, Senator Randolfe Rodrigues, explained that in Amapá it will be more than R$ 50 million, apart from the possibilities of including parliamentary amendments.
“Education is once again a priority under the Lula government. The Federal University of Amapá will have a budget 52% higher, almost double the national one, which was 24%”, celebrated the parliamentarian, who was at the beginning of the year with the Minister of Education Camilo Santana and presented the situation of Amapá.
“Universities and Institutes agonized over the last 4 years, there were more than 30% budget cuts. We live a real threat to the future of Brazil, which would be left without professional qualification and investments in science”, said Randolfe.
For UNIFAP, the increase went from BRL 30.9 million in the original LOA (which was a lower amount than budgeted in 2019) to BRL 47 million, which means a 52% increase in Federal funds .
Likewise, the budgets of the Federal Institutes were recomposed, which received an increase of R$ 388 million throughout the country. IFAP received an increase of R$ 3.4 million.
