Second largest allocation of resources by Senator Omar is for paving works in the State

The parliamentary amendments allocated to Amazonas by senator Omar Aziz (PSD-AM) for 2024 already exceed R$147 million, with an increase expected by the end of the year. The money primarily serves investments in health and infrastructure in municipalities in the interior of the State.

Known for leading the Pandemic CPI and encouraging the purchase of vaccines against Covid-19, Omar focuses his investments in 2024 on health, with R$64 million in amendments planned so far. These amounts will contribute to the cost of operations in basic health units in the capital and interior, in addition to the acquisition of equipment for hospitals throughout Amazonas.

The second largest allocation of resources by Senator Omar is for paving works in the State, with the forecast of releasing R$49 million so far. This financial allocation follows the trajectory of the parliamentarian, who, in recent years, with his amendments, helped interior city halls in the recovery of strategic locations.

“I was elected by the population of Amazonas and it is my obligation to continue fighting for more investments for our State, with better quality of health care and infrastructure, especially for the most needy areas in the interior”,

justified Omar.

To date, the amendments planned for infrastructure total R$34 million, an amount higher than that allocated by Omar Aziz in 2023. Throughout the year, it is expected that the senator’s amendments will be updated, including more investments in the areas of public security and social assistance.

With the approval of the Budget Guidelines Law (LDO) for 2024, which establishes the rules for the Union Budget, there were changes in the allocation of amounts. Now, in relation to individual, state bench or commission amendments for the areas of health and social assistance, there is the possibility of directly transferring the amounts to philanthropic entities, such as Santas Casas.
