Senai Institute of Innovation exposes project and receives tribute at Chip In Rio 2023

The team from the Senai Institute of Microelectronics Innovation (ISI-ME) will participate next Sunday (27th), in Rio de Janeiro, in the biggest annual event in the area of microelectronics in Brazil, Chip In Rio 2023. will present a work on Individual Development Plan (PDI), in partnership with HT Micron, semiconductor industry. On the occasion, ISI-ME researcher and author of the project, Leonardo Yojo, will receive homage at the 11th José Camargo da Costa Award.
According to the industrial development technician at ISI-ME, Silvio Rapozo, the work sent to the Brazilian Society of Microelectronics (SBMicro) reports the results of the project “Reliability Aspects and Study of Copper Seed Deposition on Polyimide via Sputtering” (aspects of reliability and study of the deposition of copper and polyimide seeds via Sputtering), which evaluates the deposition of copper seeds on a polyimide substrate (polymer suitable for use at high temperatures), with the Sputtering technique (deposition technique physics of materials), in which several process parameters were evaluated, in order to verify the influence of each one on the quality of the copper films.
“For this, several characterizations were carried out, including: thickness measurement of the deposited films, resistivity of the deposited films, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, electrical permittivity measurement, adhesion test and accelerated aging tests. ”,
describes the technician, when revealing that the project will be presented during the poster section next Tuesday (29).
The SBMicro Theses and Dissertations Contest, in this edition better known as the 11th José Camargo da Costa Award – 2023, according to researcher Leonardo Yoijo, aims to reward the best doctoral theses and master’s theses in the field of microelectronics in the last year .
“I applied for the contest with my thesis defended, by the graduate program in electrical engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, in the area of microelectronics, whose title is ‘Optimization of BESOI MOSFET transistors as a platform for application in biosensors’” ,
Yoijo explains that he will receive the award in the category of Technologies, Devices and Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes.
