Since January 8, at least 1,420 people have been arrested in the act or during operations launched by the Federal Police against coup plotters who invaded and vandalized the headquarters of the three Powers, in Brasília.

The PGR (Attorney General’s Office), in turn, informed the submission of complaints against 653 people to the Supreme Court in the first month after the attacks.

The Federal Police launched five phases of the operation Lesa Pátria, created to investigate all those involved in the anti-democratic attacks. They have already advanced on those involved in the depredation, on the omissive authorities and against the military police responsible for the security of the Esplanada. The PF is still processing investigations about the masterminds of the attacks and possible financiers of the coup plotters.

Within the scope of the AGU (Attorney General of the Union), a series of actions were presented with the objective of seeking compensation from the public coffers for the damage caused in the attacks. So far, there are 134 people targeted by the BRL 20.7 million block requested by the AGU.

• REQUEST FOR BLOCKING OF GOODS GOES UP TO BRL 18.5 MI: The AGU asks that the blockade of assets of individuals and companies involved in the acts be increased to R$ 18.5 million. The request is fulfilled three days later

• REQUEST FOR BLOCKING OF GOODS REACHES 92 PEOPLE: The AGU presents the third action for the unavailability of assets and rights of those involved in the acts. There are over 40 people, totaling 92 people, five companies and two entities

• NEW COMPLAINTS: The PGR increases the total number of people denounced to 254. The group includes both people arrested at the headquarters of the three Powers on the day of the acts of vandalism and those arrested the following morning in the camp in front of the Army HQ

• REQUEST FOR BLOCKING OF GOODS REACHES 134 PEOPLE: The AGU increases to 134 people, five companies and two entities the number of those responsible for coup acts, either for participating in the depredation of buildings (82) or for financing bus charter (52 people, five companies and two entities)

• FÁTIMA DE TUBARÃO IS ARRESTED: PF triggers 3rd phase of operation Lesa Pátria and targets vandals involved in the acts. In Santa Catarina, Maria de Fátima Mendonça Jacinto Souza, 67, known on the networks as Fátima de Tubarão, was arrested

One of the targets is Lucimário Benedito Camargo, president of the Chamber of Shopkeepers of Rio Verde (GO), known as Mário Furacão and who recorded a video during the invasion of the Planalto Palace

• MILITARY POLICE ARREST: PF launches 5th phase of operation Lesa Pátria and targets missing authorities on the day of the attacks. One of those arrested is Colonel Jorge Eduardo Naime Barreto, then head of the Operational Department of the Federal District’s Military Police, the structure responsible for the security plan on the Esplanada.

• REQUEST FOR BLOCKING OF GOODS INCREASES TO BRL 20.7 MI: The AGU asks the Federal Court that the blockade of assets of those accused of depredating the buildings of the three Powers be increased from R$ 18.5 million to R$ 20.7 million, to include a new calculation by the Chamber of damages suffered, which increased from BRL 1.1 million to BRL 3.3 million
