Sedel carries out extensive sports programming in reference to the 266 years of Macapá – News of Brazil

This Thursday (25), pedal lovers can get ready to participate in the Sedel Metropolitano Cycling Tour, which will be around 20km long. The event seeks to bring leisure and entertainment to the population, in addition to promoting the economy and ecotourism in the state.
The event, which is free, will start at 8pm, at Praça do Fórum de Santana, with arrival scheduled for 9:30pm, at Píer do Santa Inês, at 9:30pm. During the route, there will be hydration points.
The Sedel Metropolitano Cycling Tour is carried out by the state body, in partnership with the Pelotão 50tão team, which will also be holding the 10th Long Cycling Tour, in Mazagão, with 94 km, on Saturday (27).
In addition to the cycling events, the State Department of Sports and Leisure (Sedel) will be carrying out an extensive program in reference to Macapá’s 266 years. Sports activities will take place on the 1st, 3rd and 4th of February.
The program starts with the Macapá 266 Years Basketball Tournament, on February 1st, at 8pm, at the Avertino Ramos Gymnasium. There will be men’s, women’s and wheelchair teams. The event will feature teams from the state of Pará: Paysandu, JP8, ABAP. “American athletes come and play on a team here, there are around three of them. It’s going to be a really cool dispute”, said secretary Rudney Cunha.
The program continues on February 3rd with the Circuito Sedel Cidade de Macapá, in Indoor Swimming, at 7pm, in the Olympic Pool. And on the 4th, the event continues and encompasses another 15 modalities (check at the end of the article), at Sesc Araxá, starting at 8am and, at 4pm, there will be the Copa Cidade de Macapá Futebol U-16.
Registration for the modalities will soon be available on social media or the secretariat’s website. “We hope it will be a success, just like it was last year”, concluded Rudney.
