The federal deputies who are members of the Commission for Public Security and Combating Organized Crime of the Chamber of Deputies approved, this Wednesday morning (29), a motion of repudiation against the statement given by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), last week , that the operation that uncovered a plan to kidnap Senator Sérgio Moro (União Brasil-PR) could be a “framework”.

The commission, chaired by deputy Ubiratan Sanderson (PL-RS), approved the request authored by Gilvan da Federal (PL-ES), Lieutenant Colonel Zucco (Republicanos-RS) and Silvia Waiãpi (PL-AP), among others, that declares that President Lula’s speech means “total disrespect to the Federal Police and also to the people who have been threatened and at risk of having their lives taken by criminality”, says the text obtained by the People’s Gazette.

The deputies go on to state that the president’s statement is still “despicable and threatening to the honesty of the Federal Police and those threatened. In addition, it echoes harmfully for all Security Forces in the country”.

For parliamentarians, the freedom of expression expressed in the Federal Constitution cannot “exceed respect for institutions and the honor of their members”. In addition to the deputies, entities representing PF delegates and magistrates also repudiated Lula’s statements against the senator.
