Manaus (AM) – José Sobreira School, located in the Nossa Senhora de Fátima community, rural area of ​​Manaus, hosts the “Family at School is 10” project, which highlights the importance of parental involvement in children’s school lives, promoting a solid partnership between schools and family for the educational success of students. The Municipal Department of Education (Semed) launched the project this Thursday (4).

The project is part of the Educa + Manaus program and seeks a more inclusive and participatory education. During the event, parents were welcomed with breakfast, a lecture and gymnastics at work, alongside their children, on the school playground, providing a moment of integration and exchange of experiences. The partnership with the Municipal Health Department (Semsa) was also fundamental, with professionals carrying out blood pressure and blood sugar measurements, reinforcing the commitment to the well-being not only academic, but also physical and emotional of students and their families.

Luiz Oliveira, head of the Educational Management Support Division (Dage), highlighted the importance of parental participation at school, highlighting how this union strengthens ties between the school community and families, contributing to a bright future for all students.

“Today we had a present and participatory community, with students engaged in various activities that truly integrate families into our educational process”, reported Luiz.

The presence and participation of parents in the launch of the project is essential, as noted by housewife Vanessa Cavalcante, mother of a 4th grade student.

“Being able to be present with my son, sharing moments of conversation, breakfast and even gymnastics activities at work, was a unique opportunity to integrate with my son and the school”, said Vanessa.

The event also featured the active participation of Grêmio Sobreira, made up of the students themselves, who demonstrated their commitment to promoting integration among students and improving the school for everyone.

The school manager, Maria Ozenilda, highlighted that the project initiative is fundamental to strengthening ties between the school community and families.
