Preparing for the final of the Copa do Brasil, against Flamengo, the midfielder Gabriel Nevesof São Paulo, used social media to take a stand on the fan reaction to his new look. In training this Wednesday (6), the athlete appeared with pink hair and the crowd did not like it.

“You don’t have to say m…, I’m not going to play anymore and I’m not going to play less. Everyone cuts and dyes their hair, but I decided to do it the color I wanted to do. I understand, yes, many also say that I came back from the injury playing less, that’s part of it. I’m training every day with the boys for the team to improve and achieve our goals. I don’t think only of the staff either, the team is always ahead”, commented the athlete on social networks.

In the post, Gabriel Neves says he learned to respect those who respect him and understands that even being a football player, nothing prevents him from being who he wants to be. In addition, the player understands that the new hair color may be controversial, but that it is just one color.

Despite taking a position contrary to what the fans said on social networks, the midfielder made it clear in his post through his Instagram stories that he respects São Paulo fans and asked that people use the time that was spent to curse and complain about the new look to make “something better”.

São Paulo will continue without official matches until next Wednesday (13), when it will visit Internacional for the Brasileirão. After that, Gabriel Neves’ team will face the first game of the Copa do Brasil final, on Sunday (17), against Flamengo in Maracanã.
