São Paulo Federation closes Allianz Park for games due to problems on the pitch – News of Brazil
[ad_1]
Since Friday (02), Palmeiras’ Allianz Parque stadium has been officially vetoed for games by the São Paulo Football Federation (FPF). The decision was published in the entity’s ordinance.
Signed by Fábio Moraes, executive director of the FPF Competitions Department, the ordinance says that the arena is prohibited from hosting matches “due to the lack of condition of the pitch, specifically, due to the non-compliance of one of the components used (thermoplastic)” .
How will the release be done?
Also according to the note, “The lawn can be released after the problem has been resolved, a fact that must be confirmed through a new technical inspection”.
Even before the decision, Palmeiras had already announced, after the victory over Santos, last Sunday (28), that it will no longer play games at its stadium until the pitch conditions improve.
The club, which is in a public conflict with WTorre, the stadium’s manager, alleges “irresponsibility on the part of third parties” and also says that the decision values the physical integrity of Palmeiras professionals and their opponents.
