Part of the São Paulo fans protested against the presence of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) at the Morumbi stadium on Thursday night (1), in a game against Sport for the Copa do Brasil.
Outside the stadium, posters criticized the fact that Bolsonaro went to watch the game, alongside the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans).
They said “Bolsonaro in the coffin”, “Bolsonaro racist shit” and “Bolsonaro porcú maldito” — the latter, a reference to the fact that the former president was a Palmeiras fan.
There were also protests and curses against him upon arrival at one of the stadium’s boxes, and glasses were thrown. There was some applause as well.
São Paulo qualified for the quarterfinals after beating the team from Pernambuco on penalties.
