São Benedito and Jangadinha win the Interdistrict 2023 title – News of Brazil

This Sunday (26) ended the 45th Interdistrict. São Benedito (female) and Jangadinha (male) were the winning teams this season. The winners took home a trophy, medals and a check in the amount of R$ 5,000.00. Runners-up São Joaquim (female) and Ipixuna Miranda (male) were awarded medals and the symbolic value of R$ 3,000.00.
The women’s score was 1-0, in men’s football 3-1 for the winners. The São Benedito team represents the town of Santa Luzia and the Jangadinha team represents the Bailique Archipelago community.
Around 4,000 people attended the final competitions that took place on Saturday and Sunday in Macapá, at the Santos Futebol Clube Training Center.
“Family members, friends, football supporters and entrepreneurs joined us in this event that is considered the world cup for people from Amapa. In addition to investing in sport, we also encourage micro-entrepreneurship”highlights the municipal coordinator of Sports and Leisure, Bruno Church.
The captain of the winning women’s team, Michele Pantoja, said that the training to reach the final was tiring, but satisfying. “We did our best on the pitch, the team trained hard and today they showed what they came for. I feel proud, now it’s just joy”he said smiling.
Who also squandered happiness, was the captain of the men’s winning team, Edinilton Santana. “My team came to be champions. Sport in my district is taken seriously, we participate in all events, the joy of the people of Bailique is the indoor cup, as the technicians would say: that is where the country man has fun”joked.
This edition also awarded the teams that were in 3rd place, the team took home the value of R$ 2,000.00 and a medal. In addition, there were awards for the best goalkeeper and goalkeeper, and the best scorers.
The sports competition is organized by the Municipality of Macapá, through the Municipal Coordination of Sports and Leisure (Comel), in partnership with the Municipal Health Secretariat (Semsa), Municipal Civil Guard (GCMM), Municipal Secretariat of Labor, Economic Development and Innovation (Semtradi), Municipal Culture Foundation (Fumcult) and Popular Mobilization and Participation (Semmopp).

The Municipal Department of Work, Economic Development and Innovation (Semtradi) registered entrepreneurs to sell food and beverages during the two-day event.
For street vendor Taciane Santos, the initiative to allocate entrepreneurs in a space intended only for food and drinks was a way of attracting more customers.
“We came with the expectation of getting an extra income and it worked. The customer had a comfortable space to have his meal. This event helped a lot because sales in the Beira Rio square were weak”commented.
Queen’s Choice
On Saturday (25) the first edition of the contest that elected the Queen of the Interdistrict took place. The chosen candidate was Paula Barroso, 27 years old, representative of the São João do Matapi team, from the rural community Coração. The queen was awarded a sash, crown and a sum of R$ 1,000.00.
Paula is a striker on the team and says that, despite her confidence, she was surprised by the result. “All the girls are beautiful and the dispute was fierce, when I heard my name I couldn’t believe it. This is undoubtedly a wonderful experience, even more so for being the first queen of an event like this. Gratitude to my family and friends who cheered for this victory”celebrated.
In all, 13 muses signed up to participate in the contest, but only 10 candidates made it to the final stage. The selective took place through a poll on the Instagram of the Municipality of Macapá on March 20, 21 and 22. The grand finale was the parade of the muses for a body of judges made up of specialists.
