Santos decides to remove three players at Turra’s option

After putting Santos in a “state of urgency”, coach Paulo Turra continues to reformulate the squad in an attempt to close the group to get the club out of the situation it is in, fighting against relegation in the Brazilian Championship. The alvinegra team confirmed that midfielders Daniel Ruiz, Ivonei and Ed Carlos are not part of the coach’s plans and were released to look for another team.

Turra is trying to avoid leaving the squad swollen while waiting for the board to announce the long-awaited reinforcements for the sequence of the season – the transfer window opened on Monday. Before, the coach had already removed from the squad the laterals Lucas Pires and Nathan, in addition to the striker Soteldo.

The trio was removed for indiscipline. The wingers were spotted at a ballad in São Paulo a few hours before a training session in Vila Belmiro. Soteldo, on the other hand, had a disagreement with the coach himself and used social networks to say that he will reveal all the details of his removal soon.

Daniel Ruiz, Ivonei and Ed Carlos were cut from the squad due to technical reasons. The coach also does not have the lateral Felipe Jonatan and the defensive midfielder Alison. Injured, both should only return next season.

After the 3-0 defeat by Cuiabá, at Arena Pantanal, Turra went so far as to say that Santos would announce its new reinforcements by this Tuesday, but no one has arrived yet. With that, the coach continues to work with the group he has at his disposal.

Eliminated from the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Sudamericana, Santos will only return to the field this Sunday, at 11 am, against Goiás, in Vila Belmiro. The alvinegro team is in 14th place in the Brasileirão, with 15 points, against 11 of the emerald, in 17th.
