Sanctioned law of the new teaching floor of RS

Governor Eduardo Leite (PSDB) sanctioned, still on Monday night, the law that guarantees the national minimum floor for state teaching and the law that extends the validity of public tenders for another year, both approved by the Assembly on 4 Of april. The sanctions are in the third edition of the Official State Gazette, published on the same day as the act, in the evening.
The approved index will cover all career levels of active and inactive teachers and pensioners entitled to parity, resulting in an estimated financial impact of R$ 488 million per year for the State.
However, not all teachers received a real gain of 9.45% in their salaries. Many receive a portion of irreducibility to complement the maturities, and will have discounted readjustment of this portion.
The project to readjust the teaching floor was urgently sent to the Assembly on March 1st. Before that, there was a meeting with the Centro de Professores do
State (Cpers), entity that represents the teaching category, and presentation of the proposal for base and independent deputies.
Leite also sanctioned Complementary Law 15,959, which extends the validity of public tenders for another year, bringing the state into line with federal legislation. The deadlines will start counting from January 1, 2022, considering the remaining times provided for in the public notices.
According to the Secretariat for Planning, Governance and Management (SPGG), six competitions already held will have an extended deadline. there are tenders for the Treasury Department, the Fire Department, two for the Superintendence of Penitentiary Services (Susepe) and two for the General Institute of Forensics (IGP).
