The consortium of investors that is close to finalizing the purchase of SAF from Paraná Clube has given up on incorporating another team and, consequently, competing for the elite of Paraná in 2024, according to the report. OneTwo Sports.
After several rounds of negotiations, it was not possible to reach an agreement with the Cianorte, which will compete, in addition to the State Championship, in Série D and the Copa do Brasil next season. Other teams were approached, but the incorporation did not progress either.
Even if the deal were closed, it would still be necessary to race against time to complete all the legal steps of this transformation. For the future, according to the report, a movement in this direction loses strength, but cannot be completely discarded.
The investors’ intention was to start the project by “skipping a phase” by acquiring the CNPJ of another team, assuming its structure and role in the football scene. This would result in the name change to Paraná Clube.
With this situation out of the question, the consortium is now working with the reality of Tricolor, which will only compete in the Second State Division in 2024. There are still a few days left for the binding proposal for the purchase of Paraná to be officially presented.
The sale of the club has already been approved by the Tricolor Deliberative Council and also by the Judicial Recovery court, which approved the sale on December 12th.
