Fulfilling a dream is synonymous with overcoming limits and being recognized after a good job. This is the case of Lucas Thiago from Amapá, called up to make up the Brazilian wheelchair basketball team, in the under-23 category, in class 2.0.
On his social networks, the Amapá native thanks everyone who supported him. “With humility and gratitude, I first thank God for guiding my paths and blessing my achievements. I want to thank the president of the association, Rogério Silva, for his constant support; to Professor Vinícius Correa, my gratitude for his guidance and dedication to adapted sport; my crown, the woman who has always been by my side since the beginning, supporting me and believing in me and today this dream became possible; my great teacher Daimon Silva who introduced me to the sport and today it is one of my greatest passions; and I couldn’t help but thank my wife too”, he wrote.
The call took place during the Brazilian Wheelchair Basketball Access Championship, which brought together 13 teams and one of them is Águias da Adfap, of which Lucas Thiago is part. The Amapá team was not among the five that moved up to the second division.
