Action contemplates the State Government’s objective of offering technical assistance and rural extension

Manaus (AM) – The Government of Amazonas delivered, this Wednesday (31), more than R$ 1 million in agricultural implements and fishing equipment, including 19 aluminum canoes, 13 outboard engines, 20 sterndrive engines and three brush cutters, and two checks worth R$49,640 (each) to rural producers and Anori (195 kilometers from Manaus).

Carried out by the Institute for Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry Development of the State of Amazonas (Idam), the delivery is the result of credit projects prepared by the institute itself, which were approved by the Development Agency of the State of Amazonas (Afeam), responsible for granting the resource.

“Encouraging rural producers is a determination by Governor Wilson Lima that we have followed to the letter, through technical assistance and rural extension (Ater). It is with investment and necessary attention that we aim to boost production in our state, which, consequently, guarantees more jobs and more income for our family farmers, fishermen and everyone else involved in the segment”,

said Idam’s CEO, Vanderlei Alvino, about the Amazonas Government’s commitment to the local primary sector.

During the action, 48 documents were also delivered to rural producers in the municipality. Among the documentation delivered were five Rural Environmental Registries (CAR), ten National Family Farming Registries (CAF), 30 Primary Producer Cards (CPP) and three Remission Letters.

The manager of the Idam Local Unit in Anori, Eurico Paulo da Silva, reinforced the importance of the delivery carried out this Wednesday. “This is an initiative that serves as a great incentive for the activities of local rural producers. In fact, this year, we will intensify our actions in Anori to meet the demands of workers, whether for credit, rural extension or production assistance”, he pointed out.

Participating in this Wednesday’s action in Anori were the head of the State Secretariat for Production (Sepror) Daniel Borges, the secretary of the Sustainable Development Agency (ADS), Michelle Bessa, and the president of the Municipal Council of Anori, Luiz Carlos Pereira .

Partnership and commitment

Afeam’s CEO, Marcos Vinícius Castro, highlighted the importance of the partnership with Idam, with regard to financial assistance to rural producers. “This is a very important action. In addition to credit, the municipality of Anori was also awarded Operation Drought, in 2023, which allowed the remission and renegotiation of debts and, today, we had the honor of delivering remission letters to three producers affected by the drought”, highlighted.

Between 2019 and 2023, the volume of rural credit allocated to producers in Anori totaled approximately R$7 million. The resource was made possible through credit projects carried out by Idam, which were endorsed by Afeam. The availability of the resource benefited 627 rural workers during the period.
