Rui Costa, Padilha and government leader in the Chamber talk in a relaxed atmosphere at Itamaraty – 06/26/2023 – Mônica Bergamo

The climate between the ministers of the Civil House, Rui Costa, and of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, with the leader of the government in the Chamber, José Guimarães (PT-CE), was relaxed during the reception of the president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández.

They attended a lunch at the Itamaraty, in Brasília, this Monday (26) in celebration of the 200 years of diplomatic relations with the Argentine country.

Guimarães is responsible for the dialogue between the Planalto Palace and the deputies. The three chatted in a relaxed manner and even posed together for a photo, dispelling rumors of a behind-the-scenes crisis in the political articulation between the Executive and Congress.

Padilha appears kissing Guimarães on the cheek. To the side, Costa smiles at the portrait and repeats the gesture.

At the beginning of the month, Padilha denied any disagreement. “There’s no intrigue, there’s no gossip, there’s nothing that will generate any kind of disunity in President Lula’s three musketeers and in D’Artagnan,” said the minister in an interview, comparing himself to the character in Alexandre Dumas’ work.

This is the Argentine leader’s fourth visit to Brazil since Lula (PT) was elected.
