Manaus (AM) – The Official Gazette of the State of Amazonas (DOM) brings in its last publication, on January 10th, the acts sanctioned by the acting governor, state deputy Roberto Cidade (UB). During his tenure as acting governor, the president of the Amazonas Legislative Assembly (Aleam) sanctioned 27 laws, in addition to state decrees. The president of the State Legislature was acting governor of the State between the 8th and 12th of this month.

“My essential condition is that of a legislator, since I am president of the Legislative Assembly, but the role of acting governor allowed me to sanction laws that were debated in the House of People and that, from now on, can begin to be put into effect. practice. This makes us happy and motivates us to work and encourage other deputies more and more, so that they present bills that have a positive impact on people’s lives and meet the desires of the population of Amazonas”,

he said.

Among the laws sanctioned by the acting governor is No. 6,746/2024, which establishes the duty of the app driver to refer passengers in a state of incapacity or vulnerability to the competent authorities, specifically the police authority or the nearest health unit. Neglect of the law will be considered an administrative infraction subject to penalties.

Law No. 6,749/2024 was also sanctioned, which provides for the rights of women workers in the Primary Sector. The law establishes guidelines for valuing rural, extractive and agroforestry activities carried out by women.

“It is necessary to improve the quality of life of rural and agroforestry families, promote the reduction of gender inequalities and, at the same time, allow for greater qualifications for everyone, men and women. This law adds to others already in force and which have the same objective, to value rural workers and encourage the expansion of the primary sector”,

Another law sanctioned was No. 6,765/2024, which prohibits telemarketing actions via telephone calls made by bots, robots or any software program that performs automated, repetitive and pre-defined tasks. The law prohibits telemarketing actions to sell products or subscribe to services using a technological solution for the mass triggering of calls and/or text messages in a volume exceeding the human capacity for dialing, answering and communicating.

Law No. 6,766/2024 was also sanctioned, which establishes incentives and protection for whistleblowers of child labor cases, guaranteeing them confidentiality and immunity against reprisals; law no. 6,767/2024, which establishes guidelines to encourage female entrepreneurship; and law No. 6,768/2024, which establishes scientific pre-initiation in high school, in line with the strategy of the Amazonas State Education Plan.

The city also sanctioned law no. 6,770/2024, which establishes priority for enrollment in daycare for children of women who are victims of domestic violence. According to the new legislation, priority for enrollment in daycare centers for children of compatible age, children or legal dependents of women victims of domestic violence is guaranteed, in the unit closest to their residence upon presentation of a copy the Police Report, issued by the Specialized Women’s Assistance Police Station; or copy of the ongoing domestic and family violence process.
