The project establishes that the registration of users must contain an identification document and a photo, in order to inhibit false profiles
Manaus (AM) — Increasingly common transport, those carried out by apps gain security reinforcement from Bill No. 497/2021, authored by state deputy Roberto Cidade (UB), president of the Legislative Assembly of Amazonas (Aleam), which establishes that user registration contains an identification document and photo, in order to inhibit false profiles. Approved by the Ruy Araújo plenary, the PL awaits government sanction.
According to the article, transport application companies such as Uber, 99 and the like, must require customers to attach a driver’s license or identity card less than five years old from the date of issue, photo and residential address to the registration.
“The well-intentioned user will not object to providing this information to the platform and the driver will have more peace of mind to carry out his work. What we want is to create more ways to provide security to transport application users”
he said.
Monitoring
According to the Amazonas Public Security Secretariat (SSP-AM), more than 10,000 app drivers working in Manaus are now monitored in real time by the Integrated Security Operations Center (Ciops).
Monitoring takes place through the Integrated Command and Control Center (CICC), and with a direct line between leaders and security agents.
Research carried out by the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (Cebrap) and the Brazilian Association of Mobility and Technology (Amobitec) indicates that Brazil has 1,660,023 people working as drivers or application delivery people. The data were released in April this year.
