Right-wing parliamentarians mobilize an act against Moraes in Paulista on 11/26

Federal deputies and right-wing senators mobilize a demonstration on Avenida Paulista, in São Paulo, next Sunday (26), in defense of the “Democratic State of Law” and in memory of Cleriston Pereira, one of the defendants of January 8th who died, last Monday (20), in the prison, in Brasília.

Some parliamentarians also reinforced that the act will be in support of the request for impeachment of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court, who has been identified as “guilty” of Cleriston’s death, for not having analyzed the request for provisional release before his death. death.

The video circulating on the internet features the participation of deputies Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO), Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG), André Fernandes (PL-CE), Carla Zambelli (PL-SP), Paulo Bilynskyj (PL-SP ) and Ricardo Salles (PL-SP).

“The way we react now will be decisive in rescuing democracy, our Democratic Rule of Law, the freedom of our children”, says Gayer.

In addition to calling on Brazilians to participate in the event, congressman Nikolas also reinforced through the X network: “As I said: I take to the streets with a single objective: Impeaching Alexandre de Moraes. And of course, in memory of Cleriston and everyone who is suffering due to this judge’s abuses. It’s now or never.”

Former president Jair Bolsonaro also released a video mobilizing Brazilians to participate in the event in Paulista. Religious leaders, such as Silas Malafaia, also publicized the call.

In the video, Bolsonaro emphasizes the characterization of the protest as “peaceful”, reflecting a new strategy to avoid conflicts and possible tensions.

This Wednesday (22), parliamentarians, lawyers and families of those arrested on January 8th held an event at Praça dos Três Poderes, in Brasília, in solidarity with Clezão’s death and in search of justice. During the event, several criticisms were made aimed at “the inertia and omission” of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the January 8 cases, at the Federal Supreme Court (STF), and the president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG) , for not proceeding with impeachment requests against STF ministers.

The demonstration on Avenida Paulista will start at 2pm, next Sunday (26).
