Result of notice to support Manaus Carnival blocks and bands is published

Manaus (AM) – The City of Manaus, through the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), published on Wednesday (24), in the Official Gazette of the Municipality, the approval of the final result of notice no. 011/2023, in support of bands and blocks for Carnival 2024.

The notice includes 110 events, including bands, blocks and street carnival events, with stage services, sound, lighting, chemical bathrooms and structure, with 50 small events, 50 medium-sized events and ten large ones, which will take place during the months February and March 2024.

For the CEO of Manauscult, Reginei Rodrigues, promoting street Carnival has a positive impact, especially in neighborhoods and communities, by moving an entire chain directly and indirectly involved in the carnival context.

“Street Carnival influences many segments, ranging from urban mobility to the use of public transport and app-based transport. At the events, including the sale of food and drinks, the creation of carnival items used by participants, the mobilization of residents of the neighborhoods, where these parties traditionally take place, who make personalized clothes and artifacts produced especially for the events”,

explains Rodrigues.

The events included were evaluated by the technical committee, which used the following criteria: the history of each event, proof of time, social impact, public interest, popular participation and cultural relevance.
