Rapporteur of the CPI of the 8th of January, senator Eliziane Gama (PSD-MA) will defend with the president of the commission, Arthur Maia (União-BA), that the former minister of the GSI (Institutional Security Office) general Augusto Heleno be heard in the collegiate after a statement made by Mauro Cid, former aide-de-camp to former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
According to information from the UOL website, the lieutenant colonel stated that Bolsonaro received a draft decree from an advisor to call new elections. The former president would then have consulted high-ranking military personnel about the document.
The request for Heleno to be heard, written by Eliziane, has already been approved. Now, the rapporteur wants the general to appear at the CPI next week to clarify whether or not military personnel were consulted.
