Away from TV, Julia Almeida reappeared in the show that Sandra de Sá did at a hotel in Copacabana, in the South Zone of Rio. It is a rare appearance by the actress, now 40 years old, who has appeared in more than ten soap operas (“Por amor” and “Laços de familia” were some of them) and miniseries and has practically grown up in the public eye.

The daughter of author Manoel Carlos took a break from her acting career and currently runs her own business. She is the creative director of a sustainable clothing brand that she created in 2017 when deciding to make a life change.

After a decade living in London, England, Julia Almeida returned to Brazil in 2020, during the pandemic, and decided to stay here permanently. The first address was Rio, where she was born, but soon after she moved to Paraty. Currently, she divides herself between the two cities, with seasons also in Bahia due to commitments with her brand.

The actress also became an ambassador for ABE (Brazilian Association of Epilepsy) after being diagnosed with the disease, becoming a kind of spokesperson, speaking publicly on the subject and fighting stigmas and prejudices.

Julia Almeida has already said publicly that she has not abandoned her acting career for good. His last appearance on TV was a participation in the six o’clock soap opera “Tempo de amar”, almost five years ago. At the end of 2022, she published a video on her Instagram profile about life goals for the new year:

“Returning to writing in the morning after meditation. It does me a lot of good. Make it functional (laughs). Take care of my plants more. Reconnect with dear friends that today I only talk about on social media. Dedicate myself to my brand and to new projects”.
