During the pandemic, chef Renata Vanzetto prepared a pie covered in strawberries and shared it on her social networks. The recipe, called “ridiculous pie”, soon became popular and became one of the cook’s trademarks, running ten establishments in São Paulo.
Now, the dessert can be tried at its new Mercearia Maravilha, a kitchen utensils and ready-to-eat store, opened this Wednesday (20) in the capital of São Paulo. The space operates in an annex to the Muquifo restaurant and also offers sweets to eat on site.
The beauty of the pie is that it is quick and easy to make at home. The dough only has two ingredients and the cream three, available in any supermarket. The topping can be strawberries, red fruits, dulce de leche, chocolate ganache or whatever you wish. See how to prepare it below.

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- ¾ of the package of cornstarch biscuits
- 100 g of butter
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 can of cream
- 2 pots of unsweetened natural yogurt
- Chopped strawberries

- Grind the biscuit in a blender or mixer, little by little, until it turns into flour.
- In a bowl, add the butter at room temperature to the flour and mix with your hands until incorporated.
- Line the sides and bottom of a tart pan with a removable side or bottom with the dough, pressing well with your fingers.
Cream
- Mix the yogurt, condensed milk and cream well with a whisk or spoon.
- Pour the cream on top of the pie dough and bake for about 20 minutes at 200ºC in a preheated oven.
- Open the oven and shake the pan. If the filling is firm, the pie is ready.
- Refrigerate for at least five hours
- Cover with chopped strawberries, which can also be in syrup or jelly. Serve
