The partnership between Vinicius Junior and Real Madrid will continue to bear fruit for longer. This Tuesday (31), the club announced that it had reached an agreement with the player to renew his contract until June 2027.
The 23-year-old athlete was at Real’s headquarters with president Florentino Pérez to formalize the agreement and sign the new contract. The Brazilian’s previous contract ran until the middle of 2025.
Revealed by Flamengo, Vinicius Junior arrived at Real Madrid in 2018, after being bought for 45 million euros. After arriving in Spain at the age of 18, the left winger played for the Merengues B team before establishing himself in the main team.
His breakthrough in Madrid came in the 2021/22 season, when he established himself in the starting lineup under Carlo Ancelotti. Vini Jr. was one of the highlights in the campaign that led the team to the Champions League title, commanding the attack alongside Karim Benezema.
In total, the number 7 played for the club in 235 matches, scoring 63 goals. In addition to “Orelhuda”, Vinicius also won two Club World Cups, a European Super Cup, two Spanish Championships, a Spanish Cup and two Spanish Super Cups.
