More medals for Amapá were won at the Brazilian School Games (JEB’s) 2023. This Monday (30) two people from Amapá took the podium in the adapted athletics modality.
Lívia Nascimento, from Escola Estadual Lima Neto won her second medal in adapted athletics: in the shot put, the Amapá native won a bronze medal. She had already won silver in the long jump.
Another Amapá native who won a medal was Gabriel Damasceno, from the Antônio Ferreira Lima State School. The athlete won the silver medal in the 80m race.
In total, Amapá has 11 medals, one gold, five silver and five bronze. The Brazilian School Games continue with competitions until November 9th, in Brasília, and Amapá still has a chance of obtaining more medals in individual and collective competitions. The event is a qualifier for the South American Championships, which will take place in December in Chile.
