In its statement, Real Madrid recalls that “Article 124 of the Spanish Constitution establishes the functions of the Public Ministry to promote the action of justice in defense of the legality and rights of citizens and the public interest”.
“Given the seriousness of the facts that occurred, Real Madrid appealed to the State Attorney General’s Office, without prejudice to its role as a private prosecution in the process that is being initiated”, concluded the club.
