Judge determines fine if decision is not respected
At the end of this Wednesday (22), in response to the popular action authored by Senator Randolfe Rodrigues, Federal Judge Jucelio Fleury Neto issued an injunction that bars the increase of more than 40% in the electricity tariff in Amapá.
In the document, the Judge determines a fine if the decision is not respected: “I grant the preliminary injunction and order ANEEL to suspend the extraordinary tariff review intended by CEA EQUATORIAL, within the scope of Process no. 48500.006872/2022-91, until the judgment on the merits of this action, under penalty of a fine in the amount of R$ 50,000.00 (fifty thousand reais) per day of non-compliance, without prejudice to other inductive, coercive, mandatory or substandard measures. -rogatories to be taken..”
On social media, senator Randolfe Rodrigues celebrated the victory of the people of Amapá. “I said that we would not accept the people of Amapá paying such an abusive price,” said the senator.
