Randolfe articulates release of mineral exploration resources for Amapá – News of Brazil

The ordinance that determines the payment of new percentages of the Financial Compensation for the Exploitation of Mineral Resources (CFEM) for the municipalities affected by the mineral activity has already been published.
This Monday (4), Senator Randolfe Rodrigues announced on social media that, with the redistribution of percentages referring to CFEM determined by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, several municipalities in Amapa will benefit.
According to Senator Randolfe, millions of reais will be allocated to city halls and the release is the result of joint work with the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira.
“We are happy to announce this good news for our municipalities. The payment of these resources had been suspended for at least a year, now the city halls can already wait for the new investments that will arrive to improve the lives of the people of Amapa”, celebrated Randolfe.
According to Decree No. 11,659/2023, the National Mining Agency has a period of 60 days to finalize the popular participation process, and then start paying the installments.
