Carlos Almeida’s party was judged by TRE-AM after lack of documentation

Manaus (AM) — The Regional Electoral Court of Amazonas (TRE-AM) judged, this Wednesday (21), the accounts of the Brazilian Labor Party (PTB) as not provided due to the absence of documentation. The accounts judged in case No. 0600116-05.2021.6.040000 refer to the execution of the party in the year 2020.

The decision of the electoral judge, Marcelo Vieira, was unanimously accepted by the Court. The party, which is under the command of public defender Carlos Almeida, is suspended from using the party’s right to receive the Party Fund and the Special Campaign Financing Fund until it returns all the money.

“I vote, in harmony with the ministerial opinion, for the non-accountability of the Brazilian Labor Party (PTB), referring to the 2020 financial year, with the suspension of the right to receive resources from the Party Fund and the Special Fund for Campaign Financing , until the situation is regularized, in addition to the full return of public funds received in the financial year in question, pursuant to article 47, item I and sole paragraph of TSE Resolution No. 23,604,2019″

declared judge Marcelo Vieira.

According to the magistrate’s decision, there was no possibility of examining the financial movements due to the “absence of essential documentation”.
