A dinner celebrating the 43rd anniversary of the Workers’ Party (PT) is scheduled for this Tuesday (14th) in Brasília, with tickets costing R$ 20,000 to “raise funds”. President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is expected to participate in the celebration – there is already an event scheduled for this Monday night (13), at 7 pm, with his confirmed presence, according to the official agenda at the Planalto Palace.

In all, the PT offered 300 invitations for sale in four price ranges starting at R$500, and says that the resources will be invested in strengthening the party, in structures and party bases.

“It’s a membership dinner, within our policy of raising funds so that the party is financially self-sustainable”, says the PT’s national finance and planning secretary, Gleide Andrade.

The dinner will be held at a venue in Brasília, with the presence of members of the government and allies.
