Psychologist Izabela Holanda explains that the first step for students to achieve good mental health is to practice self-knowledge, know their strengths and use them daily.

“You can disconnect by leaving the stressful situation, direct your mind to remember situations where you experienced a high load of functional emotions, where you felt peace and happiness”,

suggests Izabela.

Another way is to write about the emotion or simply listen to music that you like, because at that moment, the individual is directing his brain towards a sense of well-being.

As for the feeling, it is necessary to understand what you are feeling, name the feeling, process why and then offer a new meaning to the situation, redirecting the thought and feeling to something functional and healthy.
